Policy Summary  
   

A Combined Policy for Amateur Theatre Groups, in association with the National Operatic and Dramatic Association. The basic annual premium provides the insurance cover, as outlined below. Increased cover can be purchased for each section under the policy if required.

Section 1
Property
Covers loss of or damage to scenery, wardrobes, properties, band parts, instruments, scores and all other theatrical properties including office or domestic equipment anywhere in the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Excluding: china, glass, money, jewellery, contact lenses and the first £100 of each and every loss.
Sum Insured £5,000

Section 2
Public Liability
Covers your legal liability for bodily injury to persons (excluding employees) and for damage to their property, including food poisoning, cloakroom, car park and member to member risks. Public Liability also provides an indemnity for additional activities such as rehearsals. Some fund raising activities can also be covered, please contact us beforehand.
Limit of indemnity £2,000,000.

Employers' Liability
Covers your legal liability to any persons, employed by you either contractually or voluntary, while working on behalf of the Society.
Limit of indemnity £10,000,000.

Products Liability
Covers any liability arising from a product that the society sells or supplies in conjunction with its business.
Limit of indemnity £2,000,000.

Section 3
Money
Covers loss of money, including crossed cheques at a production venue, in transit, whilst in the hands of authorised members and in occupied dwelling houses of such members excluding the first £100 of each and every loss.

In transit or at a production venue whilst a performance is taking place: Limit £2,500
At a production venue in a safe after the venue has closed: Limit £1,000
At a production venue not in a safe after the venue is closed: Limit £500
In a private dwelling: Limit £1000
From vending machines: Limit £300
Crossed cheques and other non negotiable money (for full definition see policy document) Limit £250,000

Section 4
Personal Accident
Personal Accident Covering up to 45 officials, members and voluntary helpers for accidents arising out of the Society's activities.

Benefits:
- Death £10,000.
- Loss of limbs or eyes £10,000.
- Permanent total disablement £10,000.
- Temporary total disablement £100 per week
- Maximum age = 80.

Section 5
Abandonment
Loss of expenses due to the abandonment of any performance of a theatrical production through any fortuitous cause including industrial action, strike, fire at the place of production or closing by the owner of the building to be used for the production.In the event of an accident or illness to any principal performer(s), musical director, producer or choreographer, cover for additional expenses up to £350 incurred in obtaining a substitute is also provided. The Sum Insured should represent the estimated expenditure on the theatrical production. This section is subject to a £100 excess. This does not apply to replacement of principal.

Optional Sections
Sections 6 and 7 are not included in the basic policy cover, but may be added if required, at an additional premium.

Section 6
Fidelity Guarantee
Loss resulting from an act of fraud or dishonesty committed by the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Business Manager, Ticket Secretary or Membership Secretary of the Society whilst acting in their respective capacity as officers of the Society.
You may choose a Limit of Indemnity between £1,500 and £10,000

Section 7
Buildings
Cover is also available for Buildings owned by the Society. Excluding the first £250 of each loss.
